RED CROSS MOBILE UNIT HAVE STARTED TO COLLABORATE WITH JAFRA FOUNDATION Red Cross Mobile Unit started providing Basic Health Care services in Jafra Foundation on the 3rd of January 2018. Services provided: - Health consultations (for population older than 14 years old) - Medicines supply - Vaccines (for population older than 14 years old) - Hygiene and Health promotion activities - Referrals to other health services Red Cross Mobile Unit will collaborate with Jafra Foundation on Wednesdays on a bi-weekly basis from 9:00h to 13:45h . The International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement is a global humanitarian network of 80 million people that helps those facing disaster, conflict and health and social problems. It consists of the International Committee of the Red Cross, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies and the 190 National Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies. Since March 2016, Hellenic Red Cross (CRH) has been working together with the Spanish Red Cross (CRE), other National Societies and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) in the Ritsona and Skaramagas camps, in the Region of Attica, Greece. MOBILE UNIT VACCINATION CAMPAIGN AND STUDENT'S HEALTH CHECK IN FAROS SHELTER FOR UNACCOMPANIED MINORS Red Cross Mobile Unit team organized a vaccination campaign and student's health check in Faros Shelter for unaccompanied minors on the 29th of September in order to enroll children to the liceum. The student health card (adym in Greek) is a legal annual document, mandatory for all students when they register in Greek schools. During this procedure, a yes/no questionaire needs to be filled in order to detect any signs of cardio-pulmonary diseases(mostly but only). After that a full clinical examination needs to be performed in all the systems. In the front page the doctor who performs the examination declares whether the student is fit to participate in all physical activities or there are restrictions, or the student needs further medical checks.
