20th NOVEMBER: MENOPAUSE INFORMATIVE SESSION IN MULTUFINCTIONAL CENTER FOR REFUGEES (MFC) FOR ARABIC SPEAKERS


Red Cross Mobile Unit Team with the collaboration of HRC Midwifery volunteer Marina Baroutsi and Maria Gotsoulia (Psychologist MFC) are organizing an informative session about Menopause for Arabic speaker women.

The session will be performed in the Multifunctional Center for Refugees (MFC) on the 20th of November from 11:00h to 13:00h.

The session will cover the following points:

- What is menopause?
- Menopause stages description.
- Menopause symptoms.
- Emotional and psychological changes during menopause.
- What could help relief the symptoms?
- Questions and discussion.
Open door to all women interested to know more about Menopause

MOBILE UNIT VACCINATION CAMPAIGN AND STUDENT'S HEALTH CHECK IN HRC SHELTER FOR UNACCOMPANIED MINORS Red Cross Mobile Unit team organized a vaccination campaign and student's health check in Hellenic Red Cross Shelter for unaccompanied minors on the 26th of September in order to enroll children to the liceum. The student health card (adym in Greek) is a legal annual document, mandatory for all students when they register in Greek schools. During this procedure, a yes/no questionaire needs to be filled in order to detect any signs of cardio-pulmonary diseases (mostly, but only). After that, a full clinical examination needs to be performed in all the systems. FIRST AID TRAINING IN WELCOMMON SHELTER Mobile Unit team performed a First Aid Training to Welcommon for french speakers beneficiaries on September 20th. The objective of the activity was to train the participants on basic knowledge of immediate, adequate and provisional care provided to injured or sick people before being cared for in a care center with the following priorities: 1. Conserve Life 2. Avoid physical and psychological complications 3 . Helping recovery 4.
